Services Microdermabrasion Microdermabrasion is a method of treating skin surface irregularities, such as sun damage, acne, blackheads, fine lines, and pigmentary changes. Traditional microdermabrasion uses a highly controlled flow of fine, medical-grade crystals to remove the dead, outermost layer of skin. Recently, however, microdermabrasion has become more advanced. We are pleased to be able to offer Crystal-Free Microdermabrasion to our patients. This newer technology uses laser-cut diamond tome tips along with simultaneous vacuum to remove the stratum corneum, which is a dead layer of skin that becomes thickened with aging and sun damage, and can cause complications in acne-prone patients. Our office is one of the few in the metroplex that includes a light chemical peel with each treatment, at no additional cost to the patient. We have found that this dual approach is much more effective than stand-alone treatments often done elsewhere.
