Services Mini Face Lift / Minilift Overview Of Mini Face Lift Procedure Everyone's had it happen to him or her: You're feeling fine, minding your own business, when a friend or co-worker remarks that you look "tired." "Thanks," you think as you check your reflection. They're right, you decide, you do look tired. And you aren't even tired. Age, gravity, stress, worry. Our faces begin to sag after time. Often, we start to look older than we really are. At Dermatology Consultants, Dallas' authority for all things skin, we can stop those "tired" comments in their tracks. They'll soon be replaced by "you look great" comments. A Mini Facelift (minilift) is a minimally invasive procedure designed to tighten and smooth the lower face. A small incision is made just in front of the ear. Excess skin in the lower face is removed and small sutures are placed. Frequently a chin, cheek and jowl liposuction is done at the same time, which removes the fat that can obstruct the improvement and causes some retraction (tightening) on its own. Both are done in the office under local anesthesia ensuring a very safe procedure. This procedure avoids the bruising, swelling, and prolonged healing often seen with traditional full facelifts. There is generally little or no pain associated with the Mini Facelift, and many patients are able to return to work within 3 days. |
