Finally, there is a treatment option available that is clinically proven to improve the appearance of cellulite, especially on the thighs and buttocks. Thermage cellulite treatment, which is performed in a physician’s office, is non-surgical, non-invasive, and has no down time. How does Thermage work?
Thermage uses radiofrequency energy, and works by heating the deep collagen fibers in the skin and underlying tissue while protecting the skin’s surface with a cooling spray. This deep uniform heating action stimulates the skin to create new collagen and to remodel existing collagen.

How long does the procedure take?
The procedure takes as little as one hour for smaller areas, and can take up to three for very large areas.

How many Thermage treatments will I need?
In most cases only one Thermage treatment is needed in order to achieve the best results. Depending on the patient’s needs and goals, a second treatment may be performed after six months. Most patients will repeat the procedure after a year or two in order to maintain the benefits.

Does the treatment hurt?
There is a deep heating sensation associated with the Thermage that is kept at a tolerable level based on feedback from the patient. We like to keep the energy on the hot side of warm in order to maintain treatment levels that are safe and effective.
